A beautiful 4 manual custom-built organ for customer in West Sussex, the console originally built as a three manual by the John Compton Organ Company of Acton, London. Rebuilt by my colleagues at Renatus in Devon for Wyvern Organs. My task here was to work with the two companies and the customer to design and produce a cathedral-sized instrument for the music room of the house. Working in conjunction with the electronics engineers, I produced an eclectic recital instrument with an English Cathedral sound coupled with a separate North German inspired specification. This organ has also left the customer's music room and travelled to accompany choirs in cathedrals and large churches for concerts.

A four manual Content 477 demonstration organ situated in the concert hall of the Content factory in the Netherlands. Here I was asked to provide a demonstration of an English cathedral organ for the company to demonstrate to its customers. The organ comprises a really full cathedral organ sound in the English traditional fashion with large-scaled Great choruses, profound 32' pedal stops and elaborate Solo and Bombarde divisions comprising orchestral strings and other 'colour' stops from English samples. Such stops as Contra Viola 16', Viole d'Orchestre 8' Corno-di-Bassetto 8' and the mighty Tuba Mirabilis 8' and Trompette en Chamades at 16', 8' and 4' pitches were needed here. I worked with the sampling engineers to produce a truly wonderful English cathedral organ in this magnificent modern concert hall.

Here we have an even larger 5 manual instrument nearing completion in the technical suite of the Content Organ factory in the Netherlands.  This organ needed voicing for export to Nigeria where large cathedral organs are really catching on in this emerging market. The Content Organ factory exports organs to 58 countries all over the world,

This beautiful four manual organ was built for a private client in Norwich by the Content Organ Factory in the Netherlands for Wyvern Organs in England. I liaised on the project, designing an organ console which fulfilled the customer's requirement for a luxury cathedral organ for his living room! Every possible luxury was needed and provided here and I was trusted with the project which was very complicated but ultimately greatly fulfilling.

This extensive cathedral-sized organ, containing over ninety speaking stops, was constructed for Wyvern Organs by Renatus in Bideford, Devon, UK. Here I worked on a lavish project which was the largest 'Phœnix' organs ever designed in the UK.  This organ was destined for the chapel of one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious public schools and was a mammoth project. Working in consultation with the headmaster of the school - himself a fine organist - the beautiful and most luxurious console can be seen here. Complete with an heroic audio installation comprising two large decorative pipe/speaker chambers (see above) and two smaller decorative cabinets. These were designed and built containing inside over thirty large speaker cabinets. The enormous bass speaker which radiated the five 32' pedal flue stops (Double Open Wood 32', Sub Bass 32' and Contra Violone 32' along with Contra Posaune 32' and Contra Bombarde 32' reeds) was over twelve feet long and contained a 600 watt 18" bass driver and was hidden underneath the chapel altar! Other images here show the detailed drawings of the stops on the L/H side of the console. Even the exclusive school typeface/font was applied to the stop head labels, which had to be designed especially. Further pictures above show the design drawings of the console, as each was meticulously agreed upon and signed off. The final picture shows the finished installation showing just one of the four enormous speaker/pipe cabinets as installed in the chapel.
